Frustrated with the premature failure of UV printing blankets compared to conventional printing blankets, a group of experienced professionals in the UV printing industry – including chemists, consultants and a high end UV printing plant (that agreed to host the initial trial and error testing) - formed a dedicated research and development team. Their goal was to develop a sustainable option that would address the challenge.

After four years of beta testing and significant funding, the team developed the landmark blanket rejuvenation program, which was awarded a PIA/GATF InterTech Award in 2007. The resulting specialized technology is currently patent pending and is provided world-wide under the brand name Enviro Image Solutions.

One of the PIA/GATF Intertech Technology Awards judge's marvelled: "Refurbishing it just once is innovative in itself."

Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada Enviro Image Solutions remains committed to helping printers save money and contribute to sustainable environmental printing practices. The program is continually being refined and adjusted to compensate for the unique needs of each printer and now also services the conventional and hybrid printing markets.
